I know, I know. I’ve been buying so many of these layered look tops but it’s so hard not to, especially when they’re as pretty as this Chelsea28 pleated hem sweater! I last wore this top with skinny jeans and bow heels as you can see here, but I wanted to up the chic factor with faux leather leggings for a more weekend kind of outfit. It’s been way too long since I’ve worn these leggings and I almost forgot how sleek and chic they make everything look! I got these faux leather leggings from Zara a while ago but these look cute here too.
Ok, let’s jump into the details of this pleated hem sweater! First off, how pretty is the pleated chiffon underlay? It creates a beautiful layered look in the front of the sweater and an even more gorgeous back since the sweater splits to show off more of the chiffon. The underlay is sheer, especially the back part, so you may need a cami underneath, depending on how comfortable you are with the sheerness. I was ok without wearing one. The blush sweater itself is very soft and lightweight. I’m wearing an XXS here and it is still a little loose on me so I would recommend trying both your regular size and one size smaller. The sweater is just a tina bit boxy but still flattering. The length is great since it’s longer in the back and is perfect with faux leather leggings (or any type of leggings!). If you want this top, you should hurry since there’s only one size left!
As you can tell, it was pretty cold and windy when we took these photos. The wind definitely created some pretty flowing effects, but I had to put on this Chicwish zig zag faux fur coat in between some shots to keep warm. I’ve worn faux fur vests before, but this is my first coat! It was fun to wear it for a day and it was definitely cozy, but I think it’s a little too much for Seattle where most people are not used to this type of look. I would so wear this coat more if I was somewhere that’s very fashion forward like New York! How about where you live? Is it common to see girls in a faux fur coat?
