Polka dots are totally my jam. They remind me of my childhood since my mom used to dress me up in polka dots everything (accompanied by killer pig tails, of course). Til this day, I still have a soft spot for them and finally found a fun polka dot dress with a modern twist!
I typically don’t spend over $100 on my spring and summer wardrobe, but I absolutely had to make an exception for this polka dot dress. I love everything about it from the perfectly sized polka dots, to the unique thyme color, to the flirty ruffle hemline. Polka dots can sometimes be kiddish, but this dress balances cute with modern and stylish well. There’s a neckline keyhole that can be left open for some sexiness or closed so that it’s work appropriate. I also love the lightweight and soft fabric that is very easy breezy and comfortable to wear. I’m wearing an XS for reference and it fits true to size.
Going with casual vibes, I wore this polka dot dress with suede ankle strap sandals. Aren’t they pretty amazing? They are uber comfy and the low block heel literally lets me walk everywhere. When I first wore them, the laces kept loosening and untying as I walked. I was honestly thinking about returning these shoes but wanted to give them another chance cause I love the look and style. Not sure what changed but these ankle strap sandals didn’t randomly untie after the second wear and now I want to wear them with every outfit! They’re under $100 and run slightly small. I’m typically a 6.5 and went with the 7 for a perfect fit!
