Outfit Details: Peplum Top | Skinny Jeans | Pointy Toe Flats
The craze of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 continues with today’s blouse – a flirty and feminine stripe peplum top! Both the skinny jeans and pointy toe flats are from the sale too!
BP Stripe Ruffle Hem Top: I’m loving this peplum top because it’s such a versatile piece that will last you through different seasons. Wear it during spring / summer with ripped jeans like I did here for a casual everyday look. If it’s too hot, pair it with cute shorts, which is exactly what I did for the driving range last weekend. For fall and winter, try layering the peplum top under your jackets and coats. The ruffle hem will add such a pretty, soft and feminine touch to your more structured fall / winter items! Want to wear it to work? Style this peplum top with straight or skinny black slacks (it’s all about balancing your proportions) and a pair of pumps – how chic, right?!
Since this top is so versatile and cute (and may I add, under $30!), it sold out SO quickly. I’ll keep an eye on it for you and will update this post if I see it back in stock. The fabric is made up of polyester and a little bit of spandex. It’s lightweight and somewhat sheer so I would recommend wearing a camisole underneath. For reference, I’m wearing an XS and it fits true to size. If you’re extra petite, this top could be a little big but the fit is meant to be relaxed and loose. Let’s just hope the top comes back in stock soon!
BLANKNYC Skinny Jeans: I actually got these almost identical skinny jeans (same brand) prior to the sale as seen in this outfit here. So I’m super excited to see this as part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 for less than $60! It fits true to size with a slightly loose fit. The length is long on my 5’4″ petite frame but I usually just roll them up. Sizes are limited via Nordstrom but my jeans are available here and here.
