The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 finally opened to the public last Friday and I’m excited to share with you my curated picks throughout the week!

If you haven’t heard, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 is THEΒ most anticipatedΒ sale of the year. Although most salesΒ feature end of the season products, the NordstromΒ Anniversary Sale lets youΒ shop one season ahead! Β You’ll be sure to find the hottest fall trends from skirts, skinny jeans, booties, and sweaters.Β This year, the sale runsΒ from July 22 through August 8.Β Many popular pieces fly out the door so it’s important to be quick.Β My strategy is to buy everything that I want (even if I’m iffy about them) and try them on at home. Nordstrom has free shipping and returns, so it’sΒ easy to buy and return. I just don’t want to regret not buying something and then it sells out!

Since I’m still in the summer mood, I’m drawn to pieces that work for both summer and fall. Here’s a quick review of each piece that I’m wearing in this outfit post (all from Nordstrom):

  • This pleated skirt is on sale for only $56! It runs small so definitely size up – I’m wearing a size 4 US for reference. I love that it’s elegant and adds movement when you walk. The pleated skirt willΒ be great for summer, fall, and work!Β When it’s fall, I want to wear it with a sweater and cute pointy toe booties.
  • For an easy summer outfit, I’m wearing the skirt with a v neck tshirt. The tshirt isn’t on sale but it’s my favorite tee to-date! The fabric is super soft and not too sheer. I’m wearing a Regular XS for reference and it fits well.
  • These Sam Edelman pointy toe flatsΒ are a must-have. They’re comfortable, chic, and I love the subtle spikes at the heels. They’re alsoΒ perfect for adding some color to your wardrobe! These pointy toe flats come in 3 other rich colors, fit true to size, and are under $80!

I have a few other items thatΒ I bought through the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 and I’ll be revealing them throughout this week. I’ll also talk about what items didn’t work or fit me. In the meantime, shop my skirts / dresses and shoes picks under $100, and bags under $150 below!

    That pleated skirt is gorgeous and I love that it’s a piece that can easily be dressed up or down. I think it looks great with that white tee, and I really like that you added a statement clutch and bright shoes to this outfit.     Cute skirt! I’m obsessed with pleats and I love this so much! I’ve spent so much on shopping lately so I’m staying away from the Nordstrom sale. I did see an amazing 3.1 Phillip Lim bag but I probably shouldn’t though haha!
