Move over off the shoulder trend, the one shoulder dress is in! Okay, just kidding. I still love anything off the shoulder, but I’m excited to be adding more one shoulder items to my wardrobe!
If off the shoulder tops and dresses aren’t for you, the one shoulder trend is the perfect compromise and is a great way to ease into that trend. It’s less revealing and still flirty and cute! I also like that you don’t have to worry about it sliding up your shoulders (a regular challenge with off the shoulder tops). I recently got this one shoulder dress from Shein and love the design, especially the embroidered ruffled one shoulder. It’s comfortable to wear, fits true to size, and I’m wearing an XS for reference. You definitely can’t beat the price since it’s under $25! However, I am a bit disappointed with the quality. Maybe I had too high of expectations for the price, but some of the tassel strings weren’t even. I had to cut several dangling strands, and before I even wore the dress, one of the tassels fell off. Luckily, it was a quick fix with my mini sewing kit (and trust me, I barely know how to sew!). P.S. I found the exact expensive version of this dress here. It’s originally $189 and on sale for $75!
After fixing the tassel issues, I wore this one shoulder dress for lunch with the boyfriend and got many compliments throughout the day! We ate at the cutest outdoor restaurant along the water called 100-Pound Clam. It was our first time trying this place and I couldn’t get over the view. If you’re ever in Seattle, I would definitely recommend going here since it’s a great way to enjoy the lively atmosphere, eat fish and chips, and take in Seattle’s views! We also went to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery right after, which is where we took these photos. This is another must-see place if you’re in town!
