Even though denim is a heavy fabric for the hotter months, I just can’t seem to live without it. So I’m showing you 3 different ways to beat the heat with summer denim outfits!
Denim shorts are a summer must have to give those long legs a lot of breathing room! They keep you super cool (temperature AND looks wise) and they can be easily dressed up or down. Song of Style made denim shorts look so chic here but I like to style them in a more comfortable and practical way. I always pair them with more interesting tops so that my summer denim outfits aren’t so “basic”. I wore these One Teaspoon denim shorts with this pretty lavender frilly top. I also really love these Soludos wedge espradrilles. If you’re between sizes, I recommend sizing down.
Denim skirts are the feminine sisters of denim shorts, and are also essential to your summer denim outfits. I especially love this button up skirt because of its ultra flattering A-line silhoutte. I’m so surprised this skirt is still in stock since I wore this outfit mid summer. For reference, I’m wearing a Size 0 and it fits true to size. P.S. This outfit was actually inspired by Gal Meets Glam. I love how she classically combines stripes with denim!
Distressed jeans are necessary for almost every season. But if you’re just a jeans lover in general, definitely go with distressed ones for summer. The rips will give you that extra ventilation! I love to pair distressed jeans with more feminine tops to soften the look. Although I’m usually obsessed with peplum tops, I honestly would not recommend this one I’m wearing. To put it on, you slip your arms through and tie it in the back. Combined with the fabric, this top reminded me too much of a hospital gown.
I know summer is already over, but what are your tips and must haves for rocking summer denim outfits? I would love to know!
