I can’t believe tonight is already my last night in New Orleans! I literally just wore this white skirt outfit today (or I guess yesterday for you now) to explore the French Quarter!
If you didn’t know, we are in New Orleans to visit my boyfriend’s family. My boyfriend was born and raised here, and we try to visit his family at least once a year (this is my second trip with him). We always stay at his parents’ house so we aren’t in the French Quarter. However, we borrow his parents’ car every day and frequent the city often.
Since today was our last full day, we went back out to the French Quarter to grab some good ole New Orleans food. We stopped at the Gumbo Shop and had, which we didn’t know at the time, our favorite meal of the trip! We quickly realized this after our first taste of the gumbo (omgosh, so scrumptious!). I’ll definitely share a New Orleans travel guide later. In the meantime, here are details of this white skirt outfit!
With New Orleans being so hot and humid, I kept my outfits fairly simple. I stuck with minimal or no jewelry as well as lighter fabrics. I found this scallop white skirt from Nordstrom and it was perfect for this trip. Topshop skirts seem to always run small so I went two sizes up (I’m wearing a US 6 for reference). Keeping it light and airy, I wore the skirt with my new striped puff sleeve tee, which fits true to size (I’m wearing an XS). Such a comfortable white skirt outfit and I definitely felt chic and could easily walk everywhere with these shoes!
Stay tuned as I’ll be showing you more outfits from charming New Orleans!
