In my How To Wear A Poncho Sweater post, I shared tips on how to pull off these cozy types of sweaters. One of the tips was to layer a patterned long shirt top underneath so that the print peeks out. You’ve probably seen many bloggers pull off this look with striped tops (like here and here), which I love. But this time, I want to try something a little different. Joules has a ton of cute patterned shirts and I thought it would be fun to layer with this pretty and whimsical floral top. I just love how the flowers show under the knit poncho sweater. During winter, I somehow end up wearing lots of dark and deep colors so this was a great and easy way to incorporate some color into my wardrobe!
This knit poncho sweater is definitely on the pricier side but the quality is amazing. The cable knit material is thick and durable, and I love the button details at the sleeve area. It comes in this navy color as well as a beautiful burgundy. The curved hem is also a nice touch since it gives the poncho some shape. Sometimes ponchos can really swamp your body so this helps prevent that.
In terms of size and fit, this knit poncho sweater comes in sizes S/M or M/L. I’m wearing the S/M and it’s slightly big and long on me. To avoid looking short, I paired it with my bow pumps. Steve Madden seriously needs to make these bow pumps again because I get complimented on and get asked about these the most. Until they produce these exact ones again, I found some similar and cute bow pumps here and here. You can also splurge on these beautiful pairs here and here. For colder days, wear this poncho with over the knee boots, which I did for work the other day!
I received a few other items from Joules and can’t wait to show you in upcoming posts!
