I’ve been searching far and wide for a camel coat all fall and winter long. It’s such a chic and versatile piece that every girl needs in her closet. It’s kind of funny that I finally found THE camel coat towards the end of winter. But I’m not fretting – I know I’ll be wearing it next fall and winter too!
I have the hardest time finding coats in general, and even more so a camel coat since they always sell out so quickly. I just happened to be looking for some coats for a winter getaway I’ll be taking in February and spotted this one from Topshop. When I saw that this camel coat was also on sale for $60, I was so excited that I had to do the happy dance (raising the roof included). Unfortunately, this coat isn’t available in the camel color anymore (I told you they go fast!) but it’s still in stock in black. Despite the amazing price, this camel coat is a keeper since I love the fit and it works well on my petite frame. The faux fur collar is also removable so you can easily glam it up or dress it down. If only the side pockets were real, though!
I’ll show you how to style this camel coat in a winter, casual chic way in a separate post (here’s a sneak peek), but in today’s look, I’m totally glamming it up. Underneath I’m wearing this polka dot dress that’s from Topshop as well. It’s such a darling piece with the ruffle details running from the shoulder to the waist. The bell sleeves are also very flirty and totally on trend. The only issues with this dress is that it’s pretty clingy and doesn’t define the waist very well so a belt is a must. Also, if you’re ever not sure how to pull off a dress during the winter – just throw on tights and/or over the knee boots and you’re set to go!
