I always gravitate towards lace because it’s so romantic and feminine. Obviously when I saw this pink lace dress, it seemed like an immediate no brainer for me (lace + pink = two of my favorite things!). Although these outfit photos turned out nice, the fit is slightly off, especially for a petite girl like me. Read on as I review this dress in more detail.
This pink lace dress is from Chicwish so the price is always great – it’s only $68 but looks much more expensive! Aren’t the lace floral details just gorgeous? It comes in white and mint as well. The quality is also pretty nice – the material is thick for lace and feels very durable.
For reference, I’m wearing a size XS and it fits true to size. Although this pink lace dress fit me, I wish the waist was more cinched. Because the dress is long on my 5’4″ frame, I need the waist to be more accentuated for it to look more flattering. This is to create shape on a long dress. I’m definitely all about midi dresses even for petite girls but they need to show off your curves (or the appearance of) so that it’s not one long frumpy dress. Here are examples of midi dresses (here, here) that I’ve worn that are much more flattering. For all of my tall ladies, this dress will look so much better on you. See my friend Amy Ann from Straight A Style rocking this dress in mint. She’s 5’10” and pulls it off beautifully!
P.S. Happy last day of July! Summer is just flying by and there are so many things I still want to do. One item I got checked off this weekend is going to the Outback Kangaroo Farm in Arlington (about an hour north of Seattle). I got to feed kangaroos and even kissed an alpaca!
