I’ve been wanting a denim skirt for a while since it’s such a versatile piece for the warmer months. You can almost treat it like your regular pair of jeans and style it with anything. I’m loving this particular embroidered denim skirt from Topshop because of the feminine floral embroidery mixed with the edgy raw hemline. I can think of so many outfit possibilities with this mini! As always with Topshop, size up since this brand tends to run small. This time around, I went up two sizes and am wearing a US 6. I wore it as a high-waisted skirt to accentuate the waist, but you could also pull it down and wear it on your hips.
On a laid back day, wear this embroidered denim skirt with a casual striped tee. You can also dress it up with a crisp white button-up shirt and killer pumps. I settled for somewhere in between and styled the skirt with this ruffle eyelet top, which just went on sale by the way! Opposite of the denim skirt, this ruffle eyelet top runs big and I recommend sizing down. For reference, I am wearing an XS Petite and it’s still pretty roomy. Although I adore the pretty eyelet detail and big ruffled sleeves, I was very disappointed that this top does not come with a liner so it’s completely see-through. I will never understand why anyone would design a see-through top without a liner. Nonetheless, I do have a go-to cami so it was an easy fix. If you’re in need of a camisole, the review of this one and this one are amazing!
