Everyone’s favorite plaid poncho is back in stock this year! I wore mine so much last year because who doesn’t want to wear a blanket and still look cute?
When I first wore this plaid poncho back in 2015, I styled it in a more glam way – leopard heels and faux leather leggings (see that post here). This time around, I’m re-wearing it in a more casual, everyday way with over the knee boots. I love that this fall outfit is super cozy and comfortable because you can just wear a long sleeve t-shirt or thermal top underneath. Since this outfit is so comfy and chic, I’ve worn this to work, to dinner (hot pot on a cold day), and to run errands around the city.
In terms of sizing, the plaid poncho is one size fits all. It is slightly big on my 5’4″ frame but the trick is to pull the front somewhat to your sides so that your shape underneath peeks through and doesn’t overwhelm your body. You can also add a belt to make it more fitted – check out this blogger’s post as a great example. If you’re on the shorter side like me, wear heels (like these over the knee boots) to ensure the poncho doesn’t look too long on you.
Ponchos have been a huge hit this year and there are so many cute ones that I’m eyeing. I’m rounding up 10 ponchos that I’m loving, most are under $100! P.S. Did you notice my lighter hair? I’ve only colored my hair about 2-3 times total and this is the lightest I’ve ever gone! I got a full balayage. What do you guys think?

Great post! Ponchos are a great alternative to the cardigan and much more cozy if I say so especially since it feels like a blanket without the bulk. I love the one you have as the color is good neutral that can be worn with so many other outfits.
