Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th we Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party because that clip of them dancing and my dad dancing with my daughters will forever be one of my favorite memories 🥹

My parents fled Vietnam in 1975 after the war ended. When they arrived in Washington to meet their sponsors, my dad happened to see my mom and aunt at the airport struggling and not knowing any English. He stepped in to help them then pursued my mom for the next six months. They got married shortly after in 1976 and the rest is history!

As recent refugees starting over in a new country, they didn’t have much money, so they had a small, simple wedding. That’s why I knew I wanted to make their 50th anniversary party extra special and give them the beautiful celebration they never had. Happy 50th anniversary to my parents!! ❤️🥂 #50years #anniversaryparty

Winter Style: Layered Look Sweater

It’s no secret that I love a chic layered look sweater. It’s so effortless and gives the illusion that you’re layering two pieces, but without all the bulk! You guys have seen me wear this type of sweater for years (see these posts here and here) and I’m definitely not planning to stop any time soon. I just love how each one is so different. The hem lines can be made of lace, pleats, or patterns – the options are endless!

This layered look sweater combination I’m wearing today has a simple, flowy white hem. Sometimes less is more and it’s definitely the case here since the white trim is the perfect, feminine contrast against the thick sweater on top! This sweater is very cozy, warm, and stylish. The floral applique details near the shoulders are very pretty and I love the subtle woven colors. It’s really all about the small details that make this sweater so special! For reference, it has an oversized fit and fits true to size. I would recommend sizing down if you want it to be more fitted (I’m wearing the XS).

This layered look sweater is also longer in the back so you can style it with jeans or even leggings. Extra coverage for that budunka-dunk is always a win in my book hehehe. But really, who doesn’t love wearing leggings for extra comfort? I opted for faux leather leggings for the chic and dressy factor. I bought this pair a few years ago and they’re still going strong. I can’t seem to find the exact one anymore (I got it from Asos), but I hear these Spanx leggings are the bomb.

Ok guys, I am so ready to pack up the sweaters and kiss this cold winter goodbye. It’s still in the upper 40s in Seattle but spring is on my mind, especially with all the cherry blossoms blooming around here! Once it hits low 60s, everyone is in shorts here anyways hehe. Look out for spring outfits soon and thanks for bearing with me through this long winter season!

That Appliqué Poplin trim sweater is very pretty!
At first glance I thought it was a sweater layered over a white mini-skirt. I love the look!
Enjoy the soon-to-arrive Spring weather! 😀

I love layered sweaters too for the same reason. Since I have big boobs and a belly, putting real layers on can be tricky because they make me look extra thick. Layered tops are a godsend! I’m still struggling with the end of winter in my neck of the woods. Today it was finally warm enough to trade my down parka for a wool peacoat. I get so envious when bloggers in warmer climates start showing off warm weather clothes. Show me a few more winter outfits and I’ll be happier. 😉

Layered sweaters are so versatile and definitely functional! I love that it is long enough to cover the back but cute enough that it doesn’t look like there’s just a lot of fabric. I love that you paired this sweater with a faux leather leggings as opposed to normal leggings. The sheen from the leggings take up this outfit up a notch! We still get below 40s in the morning where I live but the afternoons are in the low 70s so I think Spring is definitely here! Wishing you a fantastic Easter weekend Tina!

Loving the cuteness and simplicity of this outfit dear! You really can’t go wrong with grey and black, especially for layers. I absolutely love your sweaer, and how you used a flowy white hem to separate it from the black faux leather leggings!
