Plaid Scarf Outfit

The first day of spring is tomorrow and I’m over here posting a FALL outfit hehe. Yep, you read that right. I posted a couple of photos of this plaid scarf outfit on Instagram but it somehow never made it to the blog! Better late than never, right? Although it’s been surprisingly sunny in Seattle, it is still in the upper 40s – low 50s Fahrenheit here so I’m definitely still wearing a mix of fall and winter clothes as we transition to spring!

Plaid scarf outfit, beige over the knee boots, white sweater, fall fashion, Seattle fashion blogger Beige over the knee boots, fall fashion Plaid scarf outfit, beige over the knee boots, white sweater, fall fashion, Seattle fashion blogger Plaid scarf outfit, white sweater, fall fashion, Seattle fashion blogger Plaid scarf outfit, beige over the knee boots, white sweater, fall fashion, Seattle fashion blogger Plaid scarf outfit, beige over the knee boots, white sweater, fall fashion, Seattle fashion bloggerMy favorite part about this outfit is the plaid scarf. I love the vibrant colors and how it adds contrast against the white sweater. It’s actually not made of wool so it’s more lightweight and perfect for these in between temperatures. It’s also oversized which is a huge plus because I hate it when a scarf is too short.

This outfit was actually styled around the plaid scarf. The scarf has several colors in it – navy, red, orange, beige, and white. So when picking items to go with this scarf, I wanted to pull pieces with these exact colors. I went with a white sweater and taupe over the knee boots. I also went with dark jeans to match with the navy. The colors just all go so well together! Do you guys ever style an outfit based on one specific item?

The final touch of this plaid scarf outfit is this Cuyana bag, which pulls out orange from the scarf. I have several Cuyana bags now and they’ve honestly become one of my favorite brands for leather goods. The quality is amazing and the prices aren’t too crazy (about the $200-$400 range). I’m thinking about doing a detailed review of my Cuyana bags so let me know if you’re interested!

Hope everyone has a wonderful first day of spring tomorrow! I have one or two more fall/winter outfits left to post and then I’m planning to post spring clothes from there on out! I hope I’m not the only one that still has to wear fall/winter clothes right now hehe.

I have been eyeing a Cuyana small wallet ever since I found out about the brand recently. The more I read reviews the more I am enticed about their products and your handbag is no exception. I love that it’s a different color and can be worn hand held or over your shoulders. A girl has got to have options right?! But let me not forget to give a shout out to your plaid scarf! Love love the colors on it especially the orange. I know we just got to Spring but that means closer to Summer and that’s a no bueno for me so I am already dreaming of Fall. 😁

The colours and style of your oversize plaid scarf combine beautifully with the white sweater and dark blue denim jeans – pretty outfit. Yes, I almost always start with one outfit piece I’d like to stye in an outfit before deciding what would look good with it. It snowed here yesterday. Fall clothes (and even some winter clothes) are still appropriate here right at the moment.

    Tina,

Reviewing your comments after the rewardStyle conference I doubt you will be attending this year. Nevertheless, do you know what the dates will be for this year? I am not a fashion blogger or a blogger of any type for that matter. My interest in fashion is not extensive. I follow a few fashion blogs, to frankly, dress for work so that I am reasonably acceptable. However, I did take great interest in following Instagrams and blog entries of as many bloggers as I could find who attended and talked rStyle conference last year. I especially liked the ones who included their traveling experiences and restaurant reviews. To me it was fun travel reviews with nice clothes.
